외교부, 주한 일본대사 초치 "日백색국가 제외 극히 유감... 日설명 설득력 없어"<br /><br />South Korea's First Vice Foreign Minister summoned the Japanese ambassador in Seoul this afternoon and expressed "deep regret" over Japan's decision to take Seoul off its export whitelist.<br />Cho Sei-young asked that Tokyo withdraw its export curbs on three items otherwise, Seoul will take what measures it needs to.<br />Japanese ambassador Yasumasa Nagamine answered... that the export curbs are part of a review of Japan's export controls, not a complete ban on exports to South Korea.<br />The Japanese ambassador said there have been various problems between the two countries since last year, and called on Seoul instead to work to recover bilateral trust.<br />South Korea's vice minister, in turn, responded that Japan's explanations are inconsistent... and once again expressed deep disappointment.<br />
