Emergency crews are battling to save a damaged dam in the town of Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire.<br /><br />Footage, filmed on August 2, shows an RAF helicopter carrying aggregate to drop around Toddbrook Reservoir.<br /><br />The dam wall partially collapsed on Thursday (August 1) afternoon following heavy downpours in the area. <br /><br />About 1,500 residents have been evacuated from Whaley Bridge as it is feared the dam could collapse and flood the town.<br /><br />The filmed of the clip told Newsflare: ‘’I live in Whaley bridge, above the dam. Luckily, we haven’t been evacuated but are very concerned for everyone in the village as the prospect of the dam bursting remains.’’
