R. Kelly pleaded not guilty Friday, August 2 on multiple charges and was denied bail, says Newser. USA Today reports that Kelly's lawyer Douglas Anton said he couldn't find the singer late Thursday. The singer appeared in a New York federal court on a five-count indictment. The indictment involved alleged sex crimes, including sexual exploitation of underage girls. Two of Kelly's girlfriends attended "for moral support" and several supporters stood outside, TMZ reports.
