A murder investigation has been launched after an 89-year-old's body was found at a north London home yesterday (August 4).<br /><br />Video shows the police cordon one day later at the address in Waltheof Gardens.<br /><br />The Met released a statement saying: "Police were called by London Ambulance Service at around 1045hrs on Sunday, 4 August, to the body of an 89-year-old woman found at an address in Waltheof Gardens, N17.<br /><br />"The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination and formal identification will be arranged in due course.<br /><br />"Officers believe one or more suspects gained entry to the woman’s house in Waltheof Gardens at some point between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.<br /><br />"Enquiries are ongoing to establish any motive. Officers haven’t ruled out burglary as a motive, but they retain an open mind at this early stage. There has been no arrest."
