Footage shows how a coastal village in the Philippines was battered by strong waves during Tropical Storm Hanna on Saturday (August 3).<br /><br />Local resident Julie Aroy took the video from the window of her floating home in Davao City. <br /><br />She said: "Every August, we experience strong currents and wind with or without a typhoon."<br /><br />Eight families lost their homes that day and went to the evacuation centre at the storm, also called Storm Lekima, wreaked devastation on the region.<br /><br />Aroy explained that they had to begin gathering pieces of wood from the ruins so their neighbours can have some materials to repair the houses when the storm passes
