A giant mirage of a city appeared over eastern China's Hongze Lake at around 3:40 on Sunday (August 4).<br /><br />The mysterious clip, filmed by a photographer named Chen Kai, shows a mirage of ancient Chinese buildings floating above the Hongze Lake.<br /><br />According to reports, Chen was about to take some pictures of the sunset after the rain and happened to see the mirage city and filmed it.<br /><br />The curator of Hongze lake museum said the rare phenomenon happened at Hongze lake in the 1950s or 60s. <br /><br />The mirage lasted for around half an hour, reports said.
