Vince Carter Becomes Longest Tenured Player in NBA History.<br />The 42-year-old will play in his 22nd and <br />final season after agreeing to a one-year <br />deal with the Atlanta Hawks.<br />He is currently tied with four other players at 21 years in the league.<br />Carter spent last season with Atlanta, averaging 7.4 points in 76 games as mostly a bench player.<br />The eight-time NBA All-Star was <br />originally drafted fifth overall in 1998 <br />out of UNC by the Golden State Warriors.<br />He was then soon traded to the <br />Toronto Raptors, where he spent <br />the first seven seasons of his career.<br />Carter hold a lifetime scoring average of <br />17.2 PPG in nearly 1,500 games and <br />a Rookie of the Year award.<br />He also won the league Slam Dunk competition <br />in 2000 and has taken home two gold medals <br />with Team USA in the Olympics.
