Serve this chicken curry with some rice and chapati for the best home made chicken curry experience.<br /><br />Ingredients - <br />Serves 2<br />400 gms Chicken<br />1 tbsp Ghee<br />1 tbsp Oil<br />2 Bay Leaves<br />Cinnamon Sticks<br />Red Chilli<br />4 Cloves<br />10 Black Peppercorns<br />3 Green Cardamoms<br />1 Black Cardamom<br />1 Onion (Chopped)<br />1 tsp Ginger Paste<br />1 tsp Garlic Paste<br />1 Green Chilly (Stilted)<br />Tomato Puree (3 Tomatoes)<br />Salt (As per taste)<br />1 tsp Red Chilli Powder<br />1 tsp Coriander Seed Powder<br />1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder<br />1/2 Cumin Seed Powder<br />Turmeric Powder (1 Pinch)<br />500 gms Chicken<br />1.5 Cups Water<br />1 Potato (Chopped)<br />Coriander Leaves (Chopped)<br /><br />Method:<br />1. Heat the cooker, once that is done add the Ghee and the Oil to the heated Vessel. <br /><br />2. As the ghee starts to melt, Bay Leaves, Cinnamon Sticks, Red chilli and cloves. Saute these ingredients well. <br /><br />3. Roughly grind the peppercorns, green cardamom and black cardamom and add them to the pan.<br /><br />4. Stir well for about a minute. <br /><br />5. Once you can smell the aroma, add onion and saute it till they look slightly golden. <br /><br />6. Add ginger, garlic paste along with the chillies and mix well till the ginger and garlic is well cooked.<br /><br />7. Add the tomato puree, stir the mix well. <br /><br />8. Add salt, Red chilly powder, coriander seed powder, garam masala powder, cumin seed powder and a pinch of turmeric powder, stir this mix well and let it cook for a couple of minutes.<br /><br />9. Add 500gms of chicken and mix the chicken well with the masala mix. <br /><br />10. Once the mix is complete, add the water to the followed by the potato. <br /><br />11. Stir well and let it simmer. Let the curry cook on high flame for about 4 whistles. <br /><br />Serve the chicken curry with chopped coriander leaves on top.
