北 한미훈련•무기도입 진상공개장에 통일부 "군사공동위 조속 가동해야"<br /><br />South Korea has called on the North to begin the operation of the inter-Korean military committee as soon as possible.<br />At a press briefing earlier today, Seoul's unification ministry said the joint body, which was agreed to be formed at the inter-Korean summit last September, should start running quickly to build military confidence between the two Koreas.<br />This comes after the North's reunification committee issued an official statement on Thursday for the first time in three months slamming South Korea for raising tensions on the Korean Peninsula.<br />It blamed Seoul for conducting joint exercises with the U.S., calling them "aggressive war rehearsals", and for adopting high-tech weapons despite their agreement to lower tensions.<br />
