Fast Food Chain Popeyes to <br />Debut Its First Sandwich.<br />The item, which premieres next week and <br />contains pickles, is very similar to rival <br />Chick-fil-A's classic chicken sandwich.<br />It will be served on a toasted brioche bun along <br />with a choice of either a classic mayo <br />or spicy Cajun spread.<br />With its new sandwich, Popeyes is hoping the item will help out same-store sales growth, which increased 3% in the most recent quarter.<br />The nationwide release also comes as Popeyes attempts to keep up with Chick-fil-A's rising profile in the U.S.<br />In terms of sales, it was <br />recently named America's <br />third-largest restaurant chain.<br />Chick-fil-A also ranks first <br />in the fast-food category on the American Customer <br />Satisfaction Index for 2019.
