Wolverine Reportedly Joining the Avengers in the Next MCU Phase Ever since Disney’s purchase of 21st Century Fox,<br />fans have wondered when the X-Men characters<br />would appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). According to We Got This Covered, a source close to Marvel said Wolverine will make his appearance in the MCU alongside Thor, Scarlet Witch and more. Their source also confirmed that this addition<br />to the Avengers team would only happen after<br />the X-Men are initially introduced into the MCU. Wolverine plays a crucial role in many<br />of the comic book story lines, so it is<br />only fitting that he finally makes an<br />appearance on the big screen. It is not known whether or not<br />Hugh Jackman will be reprising the role.
