A Ukrainian scientist shows the layers of an aluminium can as they deconstruct the beverage in a sodium hydroxide solution.<br /><br />The reaction reveals that within the can there is a plastic film that is untouched by the solution where the juice still remains.<br /><br />The filmer explained: "Using an example of a can with Fanta, scientists cleaned the varnish and placed it in a solution of sodium hydroxide, after which the aluminium dissolved and a transparent protective film remained."<br /><br />The experiment took place on May 23.
