A nature lover captured this rare scene of a deadly scorpion carrying dozens of babies on its back in southern India.

Footage shows the tiny creatures clinging to the back of its mother as it crawls across the ground in Similipal Tiger Reserve on July 4.

When baby scorpions are born they crawl up to their mother's back and ride there for 10 to 20 days until their outside shell or exoskeleton hardens.

A scorpion can also have as many as 100 babies in a single brood.
