A 3-year-old girl takes her first steps with her brand new walker after being told by doctors she would never be able to walk or talk.<br /><br />This brave little girl, Mia, has recently been diagnosed with a rare malformation of the brain called Joubert Syndrome.<br /><br />Joubert Syndrome is characterized by the absence or underdevelopment of a part of the brain that controls balance and coordination, and a connection between the brain and spinal cord.<br /><br />In this video, Mia struts through the room showing off her new pink walker, as single mother Mollie captures this heartwarming moment. <br /><br />"She was absolutely chuffed with herself," says her mother, Mollie. <br /><br />Mia continues to progress and grow every day.
