North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin exchanged greetings on Thursday to mark Korea's Liberation Day.<br /> According to the North's official Korean Central News Agency, they expressed a desire to further deepen bilateral ties based on the agreement reached during the April summit.<br />Kim highlighted the two sides' bond forged while fighting for Korea's liberation.<br />He also emphasized that bilateral relations have entered "a new high stage" and would steadily expand in several fields.<br />Putin reportedly said the Vladivostok summit "clearly proves that Pyeongyang and Moscow's ties are of a friendly and constructive character.<br />And that implementing the agreements reached would contribute to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and ensure the stability and security of the Korean Peninsula. <br />
