Rep. Rashida Tlaib Decides<br />Against Visiting Israel.<br />In a recent statement posted to Twitter,<br />United States Rep. Rashida Tlaib explained<br />why she decided against visiting Israel.<br />I have decided that visiting my grandmother<br />under these oppressive conditions stands against<br />everything I believe in--fighting against racism,<br />oppression & injustice, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, via statement .<br />Tlaib had originally been barred from entering the<br />country along with fellow representative Ilhan Omar,<br />due to their outspoken criticism of Israel. .<br />The next day, she requested permission to enter<br />on humanitarian grounds, promising to “respect<br />the restrictions imposed on her in the visit.”.<br />Shortly after being granted permission however,<br />members of Tlaib’s family urged her to stand strong<br />in her beliefs and not give in to the restrictions. .<br />We reject the decision of the Israeli occupation<br />to ban the entry of Congresswomen Rashida<br />Tlaib…It should be her natural right, not a favor<br />to ask for, to visit her homeland and family, Muftiya and Ghassan Tlaib, via CNN
