Murderer of Ashton Kutcher’s
Friend, Ashley Ellerin, Is Found Guilty Michael Gargiulo, dubbed the “Hollywood Ripper,”
was found guilty of two murders and attempted
murder on Aug. 15 in Los Angeles, California. The trial’s second phase is scheduled
to begin next week to determine his
sanity during the time of the attacks. Following that, Gargiulo will then be sent
to Illinois where he faces separate charges
for the 1993 murder of Tricia Pacaccio. Ashton Kutcher testified against Gargiulo in May 2019,
as he and Ellerin were supposed to attend a 2001
Grammys after-party together on the night of
her death. During his testimony, Kutcher spoke about
how he arrived late to her home that night
and assumed she had bailed on him. Kutcher even remembered looking inside her
home and seeing a red stain on the carpet,
which he initially assumed was red wine. Gargiulo faces either the death penalty or life in
prison without parole for his Los Angeles crimes, with
further sentencing expected from the Illinois case.
