Kim Mok-yeon reports.<br />Sunchang County,... located in a mountainous part of Jeollabuk-do Province,... is famous for its red pepper paste, or gochujang,... and it's fermented bean paste known as dwenjang.<br />While it might be surrounded by mountains and forests,... the summer heat is no different from the rest of the country.<br />But this place is a whole other world.<br />Initially created to store and ferment Sunchang County's famous pastes,... more and more Koreans are seeking out the man-made underground tunnel to find refuge from the summer heat.<br />It also doubles as a museum which educates visitors about what makes the region's pastes unique.<br />It feels like early winter weather here. It's really cool. Almost like I need a jacket.<br />And this is a made-made cave. Muju County in Jeollabuk-do Province is a popular place for tourists. But this summer,... visitors are flocking to the Meoru Wine Cave to escape from the heat.<br />Under the dazzling lights,... visitors can enjoy its wine and other activities,... but most importantly, they can escape the heat.<br />It's cool in here, but it's hot outside.
