A video has surfaced in which a BSF soldier, Tej Bahadur Yadav, says that he and other soldiers sometimes have to sleep hungry because senior officers ell of the provisions sent by the government.<br />Yadav also shows the almost-inedible food that he and other jawans are expected to eat and sustain them through their duties – which includes standing guard for 11 hours in snow-bound areas.<br />Home Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted that he had seen the video and has asked the Home Secretary to seek a report from the BSF and take appropriate action.
