신개념 체감 VR 등장, 가상과 현실 공간의 경계를 허물다<br /><br />A new type of virtual reality has been introduced in South Korea.<br />In addition to pictures on a headset, this VR system has physical objects to touch, making it feel even more real.<br />Our Kan Hyeong-woo tells us more.<br />The line between the virtual world and reality has gotten more blurred in South Korea.<br />This is the newly opened 'Nomadic VR arcade' in CGV Gangbyeon, a local theater near Dong Seoul Bus Terminal.<br />Once you put on the VR gear and start the shooting game to fight zombies,... you can actually touch and feel different objects you see in the virtual world.<br />So if there's a door in front of you in the virtual world, a real door exists in the same exact spot in the real world.<br />The touchable objects include doors, buttons, levers and drawers.<br />Up to four people can play at the same time.<br />Each person has a rifle which vibrates every time you fire it... making it feel like you are really shooting down zombies.<br />"I felt like I was actually in 'The Walking Dead' and that I was the main character - which was awesome. This was also my first time trying VR that I could touch. It was an incredible and fresh experience."<br />This type of combination between virtual and physical reality tricks your mind into thinking that you are actually there.<br />But the developers say they are thinking even bigger.<br />"So hopefully in the future, in the near future, in fact, we expect people to come see a superhero movie here in CGV and come to place like here and actually go into the movie and meet the heroes you just met and be one of them."<br />The 'Nomadic VR arcade' is open every day from 11 AM to 9 PM.<br />And until September 16,... the entrance fee has a 50 percent discount at 7500 won - about 6 U.S. dollars.<br />Kan Hyeong-woo, Arirang News.<br />
