K-pop girl group BLACKPINK's song 'Ddu-Du Ddu-Du',... and boy group BTS's album 'Map of the Soul, Persona' have gone gold.<br />The Recording Industry Association of America gives gold certification to singles and albums that have sold half a million units,... with each digital download or 150 on-demand audio or video streams also counting as one unit.<br />This is the first time BLACKPINK have earned gold certification.<br />It's the second time for BTS, who had their first gold album with 'LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER’ last November.<br />BTS also won the 2019 MTV Hottest Summer Superstar title over the weekend,... raking nearly half of the online votes to beat Lady Gaga and Black Pink.<br />
