Seoul and Tokyo met again on the sidelines of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership meeting held in Indonesia this weekend.<br />South Korea's trade ministry announced Monday, that its deputy minister for trade negotiations Yeo Han-koo met with Japan's Deputy Assistant Minister for Southeast and Southwest Asian Affairs Department, Yasuhiko Yoshida.<br />There, Yeo reportedly urged Japan to lift its unfair trade restrictions on Seoul, as it could seriously harm the regional supply chain.<br />He added that Tokyo's move is a unilateral one that has no grounds, and is a violation of the principle of free trade and the spirit of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.<br />Yeo stressed the need for a transparent system for free trade at the RCEP meeting, which aims to create a regional trade agreement.<br />
