Report Says President Trump Wanted to Stop Hurricanes <br />With Nukes.<br />According to Axios, Trump has made <br />the suggestion multiple times during <br />talks with U.S. security officials.<br />They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they're moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can't we do that?, President Trump, via Axios.<br />Axios goes on to report that in one such occasion, officials said to the president that they would <br />"look into that.".<br />The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says is it not guaranteed that nuclear bombs would stop a hurricane.<br />The agency adds that chemicals released by <br />the bomb could be picked up by heavy winds <br />and then spread into land, leading <br />to damaging consequences.<br />The NOAA's research on the matter can be found in the online paper, 'Tropical Cyclone Myths Page.'.<br />Trump has since denied making <br />the comment in a recent tweet.<br />The story by Axios that President Trump wanted to blow up large hurricanes with nuclear weapons prior to reaching shore is ridiculous.
