Ratings for 2019 VMAs Are <br />the Show's Lowest Ever 'The Hollywood Reporter' says that <br />1.93 million tuned in to watch the event. In the 18-49 age demographic, <br />the 2019 VMAs drew a 0.9 rating. That is a drop from 2018's <br />1.1 rating and 2.25 million viewers. TV ratings for the award show have <br />now fallen for a third straight year. The slide coincides with the <br />overall ongoing drop in <br />TV-viewing numbers. On the flip side, social and online audiences <br />are continuing to rise, with the VMAs <br />seeing an 85 percent jump from 2018. Leading up to 2019's show, <br />social engagement also <br />doubled from last year.
