Apple Issues Apology <br />for Siri Recordings.<br />The tech giant faced backlash after <br />it was revealed the company contracted <br />workers to listen to recordings of customers <br />speaking to its digital assistant Siri.<br />As the recordings could be <br />triggered falsely, they would <br />often contain private information.<br />We realize we haven’t been fully living up to our high ideals, and for that we apologize, Apple Statement.<br />Amazon, Google, Facebook <br />and Microsoft have also all been <br />caught conducting similar practices.<br />Apple announced that it will no <br />longer keep recordings of customer <br />interacting with Siri, relying solely <br />on computer-generated transcripts.<br />The company will also provide <br />users the ability to opt in to whether <br />or not they wish to provide Apple <br />audio samples of Siri requests.<br />Apple says that such <br />samples will only be listened <br />to by Apple employees, rather <br />than contracted employees
