NSC 미국 기지 조기반환 적극 추진<br /><br />South Korea's National Security Council has agreed to push actively for the early return of 26 U.S. military bases in the country.<br />Chaired by security chief Chung Eui-yong, the NSC's standing committee agreed to try and speed up the return of these sites, which are or will be vacant.<br />U.S. forces have been moving largely to a refurbished base in the city of Pyeongtaek.<br />For the base at Yongsan, in central Seoul, the NSC agreed it would start the process by the end of this year.<br />The council also examined the state of relations between Seoul and Tokyo and agreed to continue working to get Japan to roll back its trade restrictions.<br />
