日 2020년 방위예산 약 60조원 사상최대…장거리순항미사일 등 도입<br /><br />Japan's defense ministry has made a record high defense budget proposal for next year, as the Abe administration seeks to heighten Japan's defense capability to counter threats from North Korea and China.<br />According to local media, the ministry has requested a budget of 50.3 billion U.S. dollars for the next fiscal year, starting April 2020, raising its defense spending for the eighth straight year.<br />The proposed budget is a 1.2 percent increase from the 2019 fiscal year.<br />The ministry said the goal is to build an "integrated defense force" in line with its defense force maintenance plan for 2019-to-2023.<br />The budget plan includes purchases of U.S. weapons, including F-35B stealth fighter jets, stand off missiles and ballistic missile defenses. <br />
