Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Bristol for a so-called 'Stop the Coup' rally.<br /><br />The protest is just one of several going on around the UK, against Prime Minister Boris Johnson's decision to prorogue, or suspend, parliament.<br /><br />Proroguing parliament is a common practice but its unusual length and timing -- so close to the date at which the UK is set to leave the EU -- is seen by protesters as a tactic to stop MPs preventing a so-called 'no deal' Brexit.
