http://daveburch.ca The night before Whistler Opening Day for 2008 a bunch of Whistler kids are camped outside the Whistler Gondola .... to be the first in line on Opening Day. This is a tradition for Jesse Melamed, Max Horner and friends. For the last 4 years they have camped overnight, in freezing weather to at the base of Whistler or Blackcomb (Opening tomorrow) so then can be the first on the chair and the first to ski and snowboard.
