Hong Kong police at Mong Kok police station took cover behind netting and riot shields, as angry protesters gathered nearby.<br /><br />The protesters were said to be locals angry at alleged police brutality.<br /><br />Some of them threw projectiles at police, including red paint -- a traditional method of warning used by triad gangs in Hong Kong.
