South Korea is giving a special welcome this week to tourists from Vietnam.<br />It's the 2019 Vietnam Welcome Week, starting today, as part of strengthening ties with with the country under Korea's New Southern Policy.<br />Visitors from Vietnam will find welcome booths at the airports, travel information in their language, gifts and discounts of up to 40 percent.<br />Vietnam is an increasingly important source of tourism for South Korea.<br />In the past five year's, tourist arrivals have risen by a staggering 34 percent annually.<br />Already this year, South Korea has welcomed an estimated 400-thousand Vietnamese, an increase from last year of 25 percent.<br /><br />
