Meet Joe Hudy. He's the engineering whiz kid who spoke with President Obama last year at the White House Science Fair. Marshmallows flew across the room, thanks to Hudy's homemade air cannon. Now 16, Hudy has been hired as an intern at Intel, usually reserved for outstanding college students. He's the youngest person to ever secure the role. He'll be working in the "New Devices Group" product development department, according the company. Demonstrating the tools of the trade, Hudy has made Arduino microcontroller boards, and a solar-powered computer for another science fair. It's no surprise he's "one of the 10 smartest kids in the world" according to Brilliant.org. Reuters' Jillian Kitchener reports. Mornings@ANC, December 30, 2013
