Real Madrid closed in on the Champions League semi-finals with an emphatic 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund. Real Madrid’s drubbing put them back on track after two defeats in La Liga, which severely dented their Spanish title chances. Goals from Gareth Bale, Isco, and a record-equalling 14th for Cristiano Ronaldo, virtually guaranteed Real a place in the last four. Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp was left ruing missed chances as he dismissed suggestions his team had been outplayed. Dortmund has been ravaged by injuries to key players this season, and were also missing suspended Poland forward Robert Lewandowski. -- Mornings @ ANC, April 3, 2014.
