Hurricane Dorian: <br />How to Prepare .<br />Following the trail of death and <br />destruction the hurricane left <br />in the Bahamas, .<br />Floridians and residents of the <br />Southeastern coast of the U.S.<br />should prepare for the worst.<br />Visit FloodSmart.gov to gauge flood risks <br />for your zip code and have a plan of exit.<br />Find out if you live in a "hurricane evacuation zone," <br />and have a bag with essentials — such as clothes, <br />money, medications and documents ready to go.<br />Plan to have at least a week's worth <br />of food and water for your family and pets, <br />as well as enough gas in the tank.<br />Businesses should also prepare by boarding <br />up windows and having operations plans in place.<br />Most importantly, listen to orders <br />of mandatory evacuations.<br />If you decide to ride out the storm, <br />or wait until the last moment to leave, <br />it could be too late
