Incessant rains have lashed Mumbai today (September 4), causing widespread flooding in the streets, traffic jams and slowing down train movement.<br /><br />Video shows commuters crossing the waterlogged streets amid torrential downpour in Mumbai's Vasai Evershine road. <br /><br />Schools have been closed and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rains in the city until September 6.<br /><br />Apart from Mumbai, the MeT department has issued a red alert in the cities of Thane, Palghar and Raigad cities amid heavy rains.<br /><br />A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was deployed in many areas of Maharashtra state.
