Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad is in Russia for a three-day visit following an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin.<br /><br />The visit is expected to enhance the diplomatic ties and spur bilateral trade between the two countries.<br /><br />The prime minister is accompanied by Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali, Foreign Affairs Minister Saifuddin Abdullah and International Trade and Industry Minister Darell Leiking.<br /><br />Mahathir and his delegation are taking part in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) for the first time.
