Royal Caribbean to Deploy Fleet<br />of Cruise Ships to Aid the Bahamas.<br />Royal Caribbean International recently announced their<br />partnership with the Pan American Development Foundation<br />(PADF) to assist in relief efforts following Hurricane Dorian. .<br />The Bahamas has always been more than<br />a destination for Royal Caribbean and our<br />guests…The Bahamas is also home to more<br />than 500 of our colleagues…So in the<br />aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, we’re rolling<br />up our sleeves to help our friends…, Royal Caribbean, via statement.<br />Just as they did for Hurricane Maria in 2017, the<br />cruise line intends to stock a portion of their ships<br />with supplies to be delivered directly to the Bahamas. .<br />These goods will include items such as<br />cleaning supplies, generators and clean water.<br />They’ve also deployed their trained employee<br />volunteers, known as the “GO Team,”<br />to give on-the-ground assistance.<br />In addition, Royal Caribbean has pledged to<br />donate $1 million and is currently coordinating<br />with the local government to distribute it. .<br />They also plan to match every donation,<br />up to a total of $500,000, that is made to<br />PADF for relief efforts in the Bahamas.
