Kroger Issues Open Carry <br />Ban on Guns.<br />The move comes amid a recent rise <br />in mass shootings within the U.S.<br />It also expands on Kroger's 2018 ban on<br />selling guns in its stores.<br />Kroger has demonstrated with our actions that we recognize the growing chorus of Americans who are no longer comfortable with the status quo and who are advocating for concrete and common sense gun reforms, Kroger, via statement.<br />The chain adds that only <br />authorized police are <br />exempted from the gun ban.<br />Kroger's new rule is even in effect <br />in states where it is legal to <br />openly carry firearms.<br />The retailer is not the only <br />one making changes after <br />the mass shootings <br />in Texas and Ohio.<br />Walmart has also said it will stop selling certain ammunition <br />and guns in its stores.<br />Both companies have called <br />on the U.S. government to <br />pass gun reform laws
