An elderly woman miraculously emerged unscathed after a goods train passed over her in south India.<br /><br />Maanibai Chavan had gone to buy medicine and was returning to her home near Chittapur railway station in Karnataka on September 2. <br /><br />She decided to take a shortcut and was crossing the tracks when she came before a passing train. <br /><br />Hard of hearing, she saw the train only when it was about to hit her. Instinctively, she fell on the tracks and lay flat. <br /><br />A vendor, who works in the vicinity of the station, shot a video filming Maanibai cowering under the trundling train. <br /><br />Onlookers can be heard screaming at her and asking her to lay still, while eyewitnesses said Maanibai was under the train for nearly three minutes. <br /><br />After the train passed, Maanibai got back to her feet and went along her away, shaken up badly but with just a few scratches to show for her ordeal.
