문체부, 국제올림픽위원회에 도쿄올림픽 욱일기 사용 우려 표명<br /><br />South Korea has sent an official complaint to the International Olympic Committee over Japan's potential use of its imperial flag at the Tokyo Olympics next year.<br />In a letter, Seoul's sports ministry expressed deep disappointment and concerns over the possible use of the Rising Sun Flag.<br />The ministry urged the IOC to ban the use of the flag, explaining it has the same connotations as the Nazi's Swastika.<br />Last month, Tokyo's Olympic organizing committee said there is no reason to ban the flag during the event, saying there is nothing inherently political about it.<br />
