J.K. Rowling Donates $19M <br />to Fund MS Research The author's mother, Anne Rowling, died from complications related to Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 1990 at the age of 45. J.K. helped set up the <br />Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic <br />at Scotland's University of Edinburgh in 2010. She has now gifted the <br />university with $19 million <br />in order to pay for new facilities <br />and research into the illness.
