South Korea is considering boosting its defense capabilities by spending 34-million U.S. dollars next year on the development of unmanned boats and mobile surveillance equipment.<br />Multiple South Korean military sources confirmed that South Korean defense and aerospace company L-I-G Nex-1 is behind the development of the unmanned surface vehicle... called the "Haegeom" .<br />The South Korean navy has been running a pilot project of the boat since 2017... following an MOU with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration.<br />Further development for military use is to be finalized after next year's budget has been approved by the National Assembly.<br />
