Most Japanese people support decision to remove S. Korea from trade whitelist: Mainichi Shimbun

The Japanese newspaper Mainichi Shimbun reported on Monday that most Japanese people support Tokyo's decision to take South Korea off its whitelist of trusted trading partners.<br />At the same time, it said most Japanese people want to see dialogue to resolve the trade dispute between the two countries.<br />In a nationwide poll last week, sixty-four percent of Japanese people showed their support for South Korea's removal from Japan's trade whitelist, while fifty-seven percent said Tokyo needs to engage South Korea diplomatically over the trade dispute.<br />Japan took Korea off its trade whitelist in late August.<br />
