The Japanese newspaper Mainichi Shimbun reported on Monday that most Japanese people support Tokyo's decision to take South Korea off its whitelist of trusted trading partners.<br />At the same time, it said most Japanese people want to see dialogue to resolve the trade dispute.<br />In a nationwide poll last week, sixty-four percent of the people surveyed said they support South Korea's removal from Japan's trade whitelist.<br />Fifty-seven percent, with some overlap, said Tokyo needs to engage South Korea diplomatically over the issue.<br />Japan took Korea off its trade whitelist in late August.<br />
