This is the thrilling moment a speedboat bounced through choppy seas as it raced to the shore to avoid an approaching storm.<br /><br />The vessel had been taking tourists sightseeing around the Phi Phi island in Krabi, southern Thailand, yesterday (September 15) afternoon when grey skies formed overhead. <br /><br />The fearless captain powered through the choppy seas as his vessel jumped in the air as it raced to escape the storm.<br /><br />Captain Rachan Tuankupong, 23, was on board the speedboat from where the video was filmed. <br /><br />He said: "The footage appears dangerous, but me and my colleagues know very well which storm that we should avoid.<br /><br />"The storm we faced that day was not the worst but it was better to race the tourists back to the shore."
