Trump lists five possible replacements for John Bolton as U.S. national security adviser

There had been a handful of names circulating in the wake of John Bolton's exit from the Trump administration as the U.S. National Security Adviser... as for his replacement.<br />It looks like that list has been narrowed down to about five.<br /> Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Tuesday, President Donald Trump said he narrowed his shortlist to Fred Fleitz, Bolton's former chief of staff and a former CIA analyst, Rick Waddell, former deputy national security adviser, as well as Lisa Gordon-Hagerty, the undersecretary for nuclear security at the Department of Energy.<br />Vice President Mike Pence's national security adviser Keith Kellogg, and Robert O'Brien, the special envoy for hostage affairs at the State Department, rounded out the list.<br />Trump fired Bolton last Tuesday and said he would announce his replacement this week. <br />
