The top U.S. official on East Asia has positively assessed the idea of holding reunions for Korean Americans and their long-lost families in North Korea.<br />At a U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Wednesday, Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman urged the Trump administration to push for the reunion,...saying nearly 100-thousand Koreans in the U.S. have relatives in North Korea that they haven't seen since the Korean War.<br />U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, David Stilwell, called it a "great idea" and said he would convey it to Washington's Special Representative for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, who's in charge of working-level talks with the North.<br />
