Trump administration open to idea of war-separated family reunions: U.S. East Asia envoy

America's top official on East Asia is sounding positive about the idea of holding reunions for Korean-Americans and their long-lost families in North Korea.<br />The Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian Affairs, David Stillwell, was testifying Wednesday to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, where he said reunions with Korean-Americans would be a "great idea," and said he would pass it on to the U.S. Special Representative for North Korea, Stephen Biegun.<br />Stillwell was responding to Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman... who suggested in the hearing that the Trump administration should pursue a reunion, saying nearly 100-thousand Koreans in the U.S. have relatives in the North they haven't seen since the war.<br />
