Villagers in India have installed a huge statue of an elephant at the starting point of their farming area to scare of herds of around 22 wild elephants. <br /><br />The problem is said to affect 52 villages, including Kukradih, Parsadeh and Tenduhavi, surrounding Mahasamund.<br /><br />According to the villagers, in the last five years, wild elephants have damaged around 1000-hectares of land and have also killed around 15 people and injured around 20.<br /><br />The video was filmed on September 17.
