한미, 새 방위비 협상 1차 회의 이르면 내주 개최, 美국무부 제임스 디하트를 대표로 선임<br /><br />The allies will begin negotiations on defense cost sharing... as early as next week in Seoul.<br />A South Korean military source confirmed today... that James DeHart of the U.S. State Department will lead the American delegation.<br />Seoul is still carrying out internal procedures to select its chief negotiator.<br />President Trump has been trying to pressure South Korea to shoulder more costs.<br />Under this year's Special Measures Agreement, a defense cost-sharing deal that expires at the end of the year, Seoul had agreed to pay nearly 875-million U.S. dollars, an increase of more than eight-percent from 2018. <br /><br />
